Badge scans tell you who a rep spoke to. They say nothing about the many more HCPs who walked the booth, lingered at a demo, and left uncounted. Onomi Booth Sensors measures that behavior anonymously and joins it to the interactions CongressIQ already captures, so you can see where attention actually went.

What badge scans cannot see
Most of the booth is invisible
Only a small fraction of the HCPs who engage the booth are ever badge-scanned. Everyone who browsed a demo, read a poster, or waited at a desk without a rep scan left no trace, so the scan count badly understates real engagement.
You cannot tell a busy zone from a converting one
Foot traffic and genuine interest look the same on a headcount. Without dwell, the crowded corner and the corner where HCPs actually engaged are indistinguishable, so capture effort and staff go where the crowd is, not where the intent is.
Every booth is designed on opinion
Layout, staffing, and demo placement are decided from last year's memory and gut feel. There is no measured read on where visitors enter, where they linger, and which experiences lead to a second engagement.
How Booth Sensors works
Measure people, not devices
Onomi-supplied stereoscopic sensors track each visitor as an anonymous 3D point many times a second at centimeter precision. Larger booths stitch several sensors into one de-duplicated view so nobody is counted twice, and a rep steps into a marking zone once to be recognized as staff across the whole booth, so staff never inflate visitor numbers.
A dwell taxonomy your team agrees on
Named zones match your own vocabulary (commercial, medical, hospitality), and dwell thresholds are agreed with you and written into the report: pass-by traffic filtered out, engaged visits, the approachable band, and deep dwell reported separately so averages stay honest. Zone conversion reads engaged dwell against the badge scans actually made there.
From behavior to conversion, in one report
Booth behavior flows into the same congress dashboard as the scans, no separate sensor tool. Entry arrows show where visitors first appear, dwell density shows where attention concentrates, and reconstructed visitor journeys show which experiences lead to a second engagement. Read season over season, the same model builds a booth baseline you improve against.
Privacy by geometry
Position and height are computed on the sensor and only numbers are transmitted: no video is stored or leaves the device, no Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or badge identifiers are read, and no personal data is created. There is nothing to opt out of and no profile to delete. The platform is EU-hosted with role-based, two-factor access, and data protection documentation is available for your DPO.

It measures behavior, not identity
The sensors count and track anonymously; they cannot tell an HCP from another non-staff visitor and read no badges. Identity comes from CongressIQ interaction capture; Booth Sensors adds the behavioral context around it.
It needs a structure, and a few hours
The honest trade-off against table-top signal sensors: ours mount on a truss and take a few hours to install and calibrate during build-up. Enclosed rooms may need extra sensors.
We supply the intelligence, a partner scales the hardware
Onomi provides the software and intelligence layer; a sensor-deploying partner supplies hardware at scale. We do not scale sensor deployment ourselves.
"How is this different from Wi-Fi or beacon booth tracking?"
Signal-based tracking counts discoverable devices and qualifies interest over minutes at roughly a meter of precision, holding the raw data on the vendor's side. Booth Sensors measures everyone physically present at centimeter precision, defines engagement as real dwell in a zone, de-duplicates continuous tracks rather than counting walk-bys, creates no personal data, and gives you exports and API access to your own data. The cost is that it needs a truss and an install window; a signal sensor sits on a table.

Does Booth Sensors collect any personal data?
No. Each visitor is an anonymous 3D point; position and height are computed on the sensor and only numbers are transmitted. No video is stored or leaves the device, and no Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or badge identifiers are read. There is no profile to delete and nothing for a visitor to opt out of. Documentation is available for your data protection officer.

Behavior data lands in the same congress report as the interactions captured at the booth, so total footfall and engaged visits sit beside the scans on one identity, consent trail, and CRM timeline. Live signals such as current occupancy and the busiest zone are coming into the rep app.
How is it installed and priced?
It installs during booth build-up in a few hours, runs through the congress, and is removed after. It is a priced add-on under Onomi Anywhere licensing, sold per congress or as a season package and recommended for large booths. The congress team will scope it to your booth.
