What the Toughest HCP Audience in Europe Tells Us About Congress Campaigns
About the webinar
Pharma congresses are rarely short on activity. Pre-congress outreach, campaign creative, booth experiences, symposia, field teams and follow-up programs are all in motion. The problem is that they are often built separately, while the HCP experiences them as one.
A survey of HCP delegates at DDG Diabetes Congress 2026, conducted by Kai Oehlschlaeger and Expopartner, makes that disconnect visible. Only 8% of HCPs said exhibitor communication felt fully connected before, during and after the congress.
Months before a congress opens, different partners are often briefed on different pieces of the experience, with limited visibility into the wider campaign. The booth team may be focused on the space, the creative agency on the campaign, medical on the symposium and field teams on their own priorities. Individually, each piece can work. Together, they can still feel disconnected.
In this session, Kai joins Pierre Metrailler, CEO of Onomi, to use the survey as a starting point and explore what it takes to make congress engagement feel like one campaign instead of a collection of separate deliverables. Kai brings the HCP perspective and the reality he sees across congress projects, while Pierre connects that to how engagement signals carry forward into CRM and inform what happens next.
